RICS Level I Condition Survey
The very basic survey. The report tells you what is wrong with the property, but gives no further information.
RICS Level 2 Homebuyer Report Survey
Like a Condition Survey, but gives a ranking of urgency of repairs likely and can also have a valuation of the property included.
RICS Level 3 Building Survey
The most comprehensive survey. This not only indicates all maintenance and repair issues that a property may have, but explains about the likely timeframe within which maintenance and repair works are required and will also explain why repairs are needed.
